PANDEMIC VS. FILIPINOS
"Pandemic ka lang, I am Filipino"
The coronavirus pandemic has heightened Filipinos’ consciousness to stay in shape, both physically and mentally, but 52 percent feel they were financially unprepared to pay for medical expenses arising from any sudden critical illness.
The Philippines now has 431,630 confirmed COVID-19 cases after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,773 additional cases on Monday, November 30. The DOH reported 19 new deaths due to the coronavirus disease, bringing the death toll to 8,392, while recoveries are up by 44, raising total recoveries to 398,658. Of the total cases, 24,580 are active.
Filipinos have recognized the importance of prevention through different heath activities. They obey the different health protocols like washing their hands frequently and carefully, keeping a 1-meter social distance and not sharing personal items to others. These are only basic ways to prevent corona virus for spreading but with the little things we filipinos do, it is a big help to our country.
